Delicious!

This would be great for research papers for students. I am thinking of more uses for my personal life than anything else; I am currently looking for a summer job, and instead of forgetting all of my websites and constantly having to write them down, I can just access delicious! And from any computer - its great!

Google Docs in the Classroom

Now that I understand google docs, it is such an easy way to communicate with students in terms of grading their homework. It is also a great idea in terms of having a paperless classroom - the aspect of being able to have students put their papers that they work on during class in school, and then having the ability to take them up in the class, is just fantastic. Especially as ZNAIL so often fails. I will definitely be using this more than I do.

Technology saving the world

The idea of having a university which focuses on the way technology can be used to solve the big problems makes complete sense to me. While a little ranty, David Warlick makes a good argument that as technology is changing expotentionally, we will not even recognize what it will be in a few years time. The problems the university so humbly says they are going to solve include poverty, famine, global warming, the energy crisis, and disease. I am curious as to exactly how the univesity believes they will accomplish their lofty goals, but I am certain that technology is the key to fixing these issues. However, I am just glad that I have not put such enormous pressure on myself.
